Śląska Panna Olimpia, lat 20. Silesian Maiden Olympia, age 20. The genocidal policy of the German Third Reich against the Polish nation was the epicenter of Nazi German war crimes (1939–45) and crimes against humanity. On August 22, 1939, just before the invasion of Poland, Hitler gave explicit permission to his commanders to "kill without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of the Polish race or language."

"So habe ich, einstweilen nur im Osten, meine Totenkopfverbände bereitgestellt mit dem Befehl, unbarmherzig und mitleidslos Mann, Weib und Kind polnischer Abstammung und Sprache in den Tod zu schicken. Nur so gewinnen wir den Lebensraum, den wir brauchen. Wer redet heute noch von der Vernichtung der Armenier?" Hitler: Ansprache vor den Oberbefehlshabern auf dem Obersalzberg 22. August 1939
“Obecnie tylko na wschodzie umieściłem oddziały SS Totenkopf, dając im rozkaz nieugiętego i bezlitosnego zabijania wszystkich mężczyzn, kobiet i dzieci polskiej rasy i języka, bo tylko tą drogą zdobyć możemy potrzebną nam przestrzeń życiową. Kto w naszych czasach jeszcze mówi o eksterminacji Ormian?”
“Thus, for the time being only in the east, I put ready my Death’s Head units, with the order to kill without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of the Polish race or language. Only thus will we gain the living space that we need. Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?”

Hardly any passer-by is aware that one of the first German concentration camps in Europe was the Edmund Heines frühes KZ „Privatlager“ Breslau Dürrgoy of April 28, 1933, where is now Wzgorze Gajowe, Bardzka Street, Wroclaw, Poland. Fine Art Photography by Zbigniew Halat
Hardly any passer-by is aware that one of the first German concentration camps in Europe (in Africa, Kaiser Wilhelm II and Lieutenant-General Lothar von Trotha exterminated the West African Herero people in concentration camps from 1904 to 1908)  was the Edmund Heines (who was Heines see here) frühes KZ „Privatlager“ Breslau Dürrgoy of April 28, 1933, where is now Wzgorze Gajowe, Bardzka Street, Wroclaw, Poland.
Known as a stronghold of left wing liberalism during the German Empire, Breslau eventually became one of the strongest support bases of the Nazis. The Nazi party, a left-wing liberal movement, in the 1932 elections received 44% of the city's vote, their third-highest total in all Germany. In the course of the general election in March 1933, the NSDAP reached 51.7%, the absolute majority in the city. Consequently, one of the first Nazi concentration camps, the camp Breslau Dürrgoy, was  opened in April 28, 1933. The guards were SA members who were very cruel to the prisoners. Among the inmates of concentration camps were numerous social democrats, including former President of the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic, Paul Lobe. Today in the area of the former camp is a disused landfill.

The neglected warning of the one of the first Nazi concentration camps, the camp Breslau Dürrgoy allowed the Germans to establish the German death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau ; zlekceważone ostrzeżenie, jakim był jeden z pierwszych nazistowskich obozów koncentracyjnych Breslau Dürrgoy pozwoliło Niemcom założyć niemiecki obóz zagłady Auschwitz-Birkenau:
